Park Baptist Church
Our church is a fairly small one, with a lively worship band, but at times a not-quite so lively congregation. Our pastor has the difficult job of satisfying those that prefer more traditional worship, as well as not boring those who, (like me), prefer a more informal style. And he's doing this well, and we are starting to get more and more vibrancy in our worship, for which we praise the Lord!
The Holy Spirit was definitely at work at my baptismal service, as I'm sure all those who were there will agree with, and He is starting to move in power in our church, and also I believe, in the rest of the town.
We meet every Sunday at 10-45, and also every second Sunday at 6.30. There are various midweek things going on as well. Our church is on the left as you walk down Crown Road (the road adjacent to St. Georges park, east-to-west direction) towards the seafront from Macdonalds. Its really hard to describe its position, but its about a minutes walk from the bus stops at Market gates.
A meeting that Ben and I find really great in strengthening our faith is something called "Fridays". This takes place in Norwich on a Friday funnily enough, and is for Christians aged from about 14+ (mostly 15-16 year olds). We talk, pray, worship, and its great for non-christians, so they can see what worship is like.
If you're interested (it honestly is fantastic) go to www.norwichyfc.co.uk, they have info all about it there, and you can chat to people who go, too. If you really wanna go, but you think that getting there is a problem, give me a shout and I will see if you can come with me, or with the great family that very kindly give us a lift.
